FAQ

What is PRP?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a concentration of your own platelets drawn from a small blood sample. Platelets carry growth factors that support healing, collagen production, and tissue regeneration when reintroduced to a treatment area.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is spun at a lower speed with no additives, creating a fibrin scaffold that releases growth factors more slowly. PRP acts faster while PRF offers a longer release. Your provider will recommend the best option for your goal.

PRP and PRF are used for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, under-eye concerns, scar improvement, and recovery support. Because they come from your own blood, they’re a natural complement to other treatments.

A small amount of blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets. The concentrated plasma is then injected or applied to the treatment area, often paired with microneedling.

Most clients describe mild discomfort. Numbing cream is applied before treatment, and the sensation is similar to other injectable procedures.

Most goals call for a series of three to four sessions spaced about four weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments. Your provider will map out a plan at your consultation.

Minimal. You may see mild redness or swelling for a day or two. Most clients return to normal activities the same day.

Healthy adults looking for a natural approach to skin, hair, or recovery concerns. Your provider will review your health history to confirm you’re a good fit.
